LATEST RESULTS:

The Men Veterans competition held on Thursday, 4th March, 2010 was a 9 hole individual stableford event, played in conjunction with the Lady Veterans. There were 144 players, comprising 101 gentlemen & 43 ladies participating in today’s event and we played the red nine (holes 1 - 9) and the blue nine (holes 19 - 27).

The day was also our annual fund-raising day for our Catalina Junior Golfers. Through the generous donation support of our Lady & Men Veterans plus a raffle that was run on the day, an excellent tally of $484.40 was raised. A cheque for this amount was presented to Peter Criss representing the Club’s Junior Promotions Officer. Sincere thanks to all those that supported the day.

Winners – Red Nine:

A Grade

Winner: Bern Scheidler (16) with a score of 22 points

Runner-up: Rick Collins (10) with a score of 20 points

B Grade

Winner: Allan Miller (24) with a score of 20 points

Runner-up: Tom Millard (22) with a score of 19 points (c/b)

Other Prizes: Balls went down to all players with 16 points.

Winners – Blue Nine:

A Grade

Winner: Rod Baz (14) with a score of 23 points

Runner-up: Peter Higgs (10) with a score of 21 points

B Grade

Winner: Glenn Shaw (34) with a score of 23 points

Runner-up: Don Stanton (24) with a score of 22 points

Other Prizes: Balls went down to all players with 17 points.

Men’s Nearest the Pin Prizes:

7th Hole

A Grade: Ivan Ryrie (8) 379cms

B Grade: Malcolm Griggs (22) 382cms

25th Hole

A Grade: Rod Baz (14) 393cms

B Grade: Doug Scullin (34) 790cms

East Coast Carts Special NTP Trophy:

The Special NTP Trophy was not won and will jackpot to 11 balls for next week’s event.

Next Thursday 11th March the Catalina Men Veterans’ competition will be an Individual Stableford Event played in 3 grades, over 9 holes plus an 18 hole competition to be held in conjunction.
