The Men Veteran’s competition held on Thursday, 2^nd February 2012 was an individual Stableford event, played in 3 grades, over 9 holes. We had 117 players participate in the day’s competition and we played the Blue nine (holes 19 to 27).

Winners

A Grade (Handicaps 0 – 16)

First: Terry O’Rourke (16) with a score of 22 points

Runner-up: Don Wallace (14) with a score of 21 points

Third: Stuart Helliwell (4) with a score of 20 points

B Grade (Handicaps 18 – 24)

First: George Faith (22) with a score of 21 points (c/b)

Runner-up: Geoff Furnell (20) with a score of 21 points

Third: Col Blume (18) with a score of 20 points (c/b)

C Grade (Handicaps 26 – 36)

First: Colin Schofield (34) with a score of 27 points

Runner-up: John Noller (28) with a score of 22 points

Third: Ron Cody (34) with a score of 21 points

Nearest the Pin Prizes (25^th Hole)

A Grade: Jim Ollerenshaw (8) 54cms

B Grade: George Faith (22) 1,34cms

C Grade: Not Won

Special Nearest The Pin Trophy:

The Special NTP Trophy was not won and will jackpot to 23 balls for next week’s competition.

Other Prizes:

Balls went down to players with 16 points on a count-back. See Vet’s Notice Board for full results.

Next Thursday 9^th February, 2012 the Catalina Men Veteran’s competition will be a regular Stableford event to be played over 9 holes. There will also be an 18 hole competition held in conjunction.
