The Men Veteran's competition held on Thursday, 16th May, 2013 was an individual Stableford event, played in 3 grades, over 9 holes for the Jim Palmer Memorial Trophy. We had 108 players participate in the day's competition and we played the White Nine (Holes 10 to 18). We also had a visitor join us for today's competition - Milton Wicks from Bega RSL Golf Club (NSWc).

A Grade (Handicaps 0 - 16)

First: Gary Shattles (10) with a score of 22 points

Runner-up: Robert Dawson (10) with a score of 20 points (c/b)

Third: Robert Sinclair (10) with a score of 20 points

B Grade (Handicaps 18 - 24)

First: Keith Neumann (18) with a score of 23 points

Runner-up: Garry O'Hehir (22) with a score of 21 points

The winner of the Jim Palmer Memorial Trophy for 2013 was Keith Neumann (18) with a great score of 23 points - Congratulations Keith!!

East Coast Carts Special Nearest The Pin Trophy 

The Special NTP Trophy sponsored by East Coast Carts was not won today and will jackpot to 10 balls for next week's competition.

Next Thursday 23rd May, 2013 the Catalina Men Veteran's competition will be a regular 9 hole Stableford event with an 18 hole competition to be held in conjunction.

PAYMENT OF 2013/14 MEMBERSHIP FEES

Would Veteran Members please note that annual affiliation fees are due for payment by 30th June.

Annual subscriptions this year will rise from $7.00 to $8.00 primarily due to a $1.00 increase imposed by MSCVGA.

Regrettably we have no option but to pass this on to our members.

Payment of fees can be made at the Vet's table each Thursday commencing 6th June.

AUSTRALIAN VETERAN GOLF UNION NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013

The 2013 APIA AVGU National Championships will be held in Canberra from November 17 - 22. The event this year will be hosted by ACT Region Veteran Golfers and competitions will be held at Gungahlin Lakes, Gold Creek & Yowani Golf Courses.

For those interested, full details have been placed on Vet's Notice Board or contact Vet's Secretary. Entries will close on Sunday 14th October, 2013.
